What makes a Vibrant Downtown?

Charlotte Street and Water Street, Peterborough ON

May 5th 10am

Jane’s Walk is a global festival of citizen-led walking tours that encourage people to explore and reimagine the places they live, work and play. All are welcome to join Jane’s Walk Peterborough on a walking discussion through downtown. Along the way we will chat about what we want for the future and how can we help make that happen. We’ll cover a number of topics: What makes an economically healthy downtown? Who is downtown for? How do we make it for everyone? Car versus pedestrian versus bicycles; making it work. How do we preserve the historical fabric of downtown while still encouraging growth? This free event. We will meet in front of 300 Water Street (Service Ontario), at the corner of Charlotte St. and Water St. There is plenty of bicycle parking. Parking is available underground at Peterborough Square. You don’t need to register, but if you do we will have a way to email you in case there is an unforeseen change in plans.
