Parking

The City of Peterborough Parking Division manages 2,253 parking spaces in the downtown area. 1,163 are in our two parking garages, 574 are in off-street parking lots and 516 are on-street parking spaces. All on-street parking and surface lots are controlled by “Pay and Display” kiosks. Simply purchase the amount of parking time you require and place the tag on your vehicle's dashboard. The payment meters are abundantly located within the downtown core.

Parking garages are staffed at the exits for payment. The garages are well lit for evening and nighttime convenience and safety. They also have security personnel and cameras for the added comfort of our visitors. Monthly parking passes are available for some locations.

Downtown Peterborough is bike friendly. We have complimentary, secure bike racks installed (in season) for your use. Additionally we offer several well-equipped bike repair stations for your use in the downtown area.
