Taste of Downtown

Jun 4, 2016

Peterborough’s most appetizing event, Taste of Downtown, returns to Charlotte Street on June 4 from 11 am to 5 pm.

Come out and enjoy delicious cuisine from 19 local restaurants. Relax with live entertainment in the beer and wine garden hosted by The Venue and Publican House.

New for 2016 is a multicultural stage at the end of Charlotte Street near George Street. This stage will host creative music and dance including the Jerry Jerome steel drum band from 11 am to 1:30 pm, the “Sights, Sounds and Tastes of India” with a Bollywood-style production from 1:30 to 2:30 pm, and Bosco performing Sounds of Jamaica on steel drums from 3 to 4:30 pm.

Be sure to check out some amazing deals as the businesses along Charlotte Street put on a giant sidewalk sale.

There’s also lots of things for the kids, including a bouncy castle, face painting, and activities.

“Every year Taste of Downtown gets a little bit better,” says Terry Guiel, DBIA Executive Director of the DBIA. “We have so many great restaurants downtown to sample, some unique shops putting on a sidewalk sale, and the music and dance performances are going to be spectacular.”
